- 8 oz cream cheese
- 1 cup sour cream
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup mushrooms, sliced (cremini or button)
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1/2 cup fresh basil, chopped
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Additional cheese for topping (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease an 8×8-inch baking dish.
- Sauté minced garlic and sliced mushrooms in olive oil until golden, about 5-7 minutes.
- Mix cream cheese and sour cream in a bowl until smooth. Stir in salt, pepper, and half of the basil.
- Combine the sautéed garlic and mushrooms with the creamy mixture.
- Spread the mixture in the baking dish, top with more cheese if desired, and bake for 20-25 minutes.
- Garnish with remaining basil after baking and serve warm with bread or crackers.
Notes
You can assemble the dip ahead of time and bake before serving. Make sure to drain any moisture from the sautéed mushrooms.
