  • Optional: crushed red pepper flakes, lemon juice, or Parmesan cheese

Instructions

  1. Begin by washing and chopping the broccoli into bite-sized florets. Set aside.
  2. Chop the bacon into small pieces and mince the garlic.
  3. In a large skillet over medium heat, add the bacon pieces. Cook until crispy, about 5–7 minutes.
  4. Remove the bacon from the skillet, leaving the rendered fat behind. Sauté the minced garlic in the bacon fat for about 1–2 minutes until fragrant.
  5. Toss the broccoli into the skillet with garlic, coating well. Add salt and pepper.
  6. Add a splash of water or broth if necessary, and cook until the broccoli is bright green and tender, about 5 minutes.
  7. Return the bacon to the skillet and toss everything together.
  8. For extra richness, squeeze fresh lemon juice or sprinkle Parmesan cheese before serving.
  9. Transfer to a serving dish and enjoy!
