Description
A delicious dish of broccoli sautéed in buttery garlic sauce, topped with crispy bacon for a perfect combination of flavors.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb fresh broccoli, cut into florets
- 4 slices thick-cut bacon, chopped
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tbsp unsalted butter
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
Instructions
- Prepare the ingredients: Wash the broccoli thoroughly and cut it into bite-sized florets. Chop your bacon into small pieces and mince the garlic.
- Cook the bacon: In a large skillet over medium heat, add the chopped bacon. Cook until crispy, about 4-5 minutes, stirring occasionally. Remove the bacon with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels.
- Sauté the broccoli: In the same skillet, keeping the bacon drippings, add the broccoli florets. Sauté for about 5-7 minutes until bright green and tender.
- Add garlic and flavorings: Lower the heat and add the minced garlic. Stir for about 1 minute until fragrant. Pour in the soy sauce and toss to coat.
- Combine and serve: Return the crispy bacon to the skillet and toss everything together. Squeeze fresh lemon juice over the top before serving.
- Dish it up: Serve immediately as a side or a main dish and enjoy!
Notes
Feel free to substitute broccoli with other vegetables like green beans or asparagus, adjusting cooking times as necessary.
