- Freshly cracked black pepper (to taste)
- Cayenne or red pepper flakes (optional, for heat)
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for about a minute until fragrant.
- Toss in the sliced mushrooms and stir occasionally, cooking until golden and tender, about 5-7 minutes.
- In a bowl, mix cottage cheese with a pinch of salt and pepper.
- Top with the sautéed mushrooms. Optionally, drizzle with extra virgin olive oil.
- Sprinkle fresh herbs generously over the bowl and add cayenne or red pepper flakes for extra flavor.
- Serve warm or at room temperature, paired with whole grain toast or crackers.
