Description

Delicious seared scallops paired with a creamy Cajun sauce for a flavorful experience.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb fresh scallops
  • 1 cup heavy cream (or half and half)
  • 2 tbsp Cajun seasoning (adjust to taste)
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 green onions, chopped
  • 2 tbsp butter (or olive oil)
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Rinse the scallops under cold water and pat them dry with paper towels.
  2. Season both sides of the scallops with salt and pepper.
  3. In a skillet over medium-high heat, melt butter until bubbling, then add scallops without overcrowding.
  4. Sear for 2-3 minutes until golden, then flip and cook for another 2 minutes.
  5. Remove scallops from skillet and set aside. In the same skillet, lower heat and add more butter and garlic, letting it become fragrant.
  6. Pour in heavy cream, sprinkle in Cajun seasoning, stir to combine, and simmer until thickened.
  7. Return scallops to the pan, coat them with sauce, and fold in green onions.
  8. Serve warm, generously drizzled with spicy cream sauce, and garnish with parsley if desired.

Notes

For a lighter version, consider using half and half instead of heavy cream. Adjust spice level based on preference.
