Description
A heartwarming dish featuring tender chicken meatballs infused with ginger and garlic, served over rice and drizzled with a savory sauce.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb ground chicken or turkey
- 2 cloves fresh garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp fresh ginger, minced
- 2 tbsp sesame oil
- 3 tbsp soy sauce (low-sodium)
- 1 tbsp honey
- 4 green onions, chopped
- 2 tbsp sesame seeds
- 2 cups jasmine or brown rice
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine ground chicken, minced garlic, ginger, sesame oil, soy sauce, and honey. Mix gently with your hands until fully incorporated.
- Scoop about 2 tablespoons of the mixture and roll into meatballs. Place them on a greased baking sheet, spaced out for even cooking.
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and bake meatballs for about 20 minutes or until golden and fully cooked.
- For the sauce, whisk together soy sauce, honey, and sesame oil in a small saucepan. Heat gently until it bubbles and thickens slightly.
- Fluff your rice, top with meatballs, drizzle with sauce, and garnish with green onions and sesame seeds.
- Optionally, add sautéed vegetables or a side salad for extra color.
Notes
Avoid overcrowding meatballs on the baking sheet and be mindful not to overcook them to keep them tender and juicy.
