Description

A flavorful dish featuring succulent shrimp baked with breadcrumbs, garlic, and fresh herbs, perfect for family gatherings.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound large shrimp, deveined and shelled
  • 1 cup fresh or Italian seasoned breadcrumbs
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons fresh oregano, chopped (or 1 tablespoon dried oregano)
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Rinse the shrimp under cold water and pat dry.
  2. In a bowl, combine breadcrumbs, minced garlic, oregano, olive oil, salt, and pepper; mix well.
  3. In a skillet over medium heat, melt butter with olive oil. Add shrimp in a single layer and cook for 2 minutes on each side until pink and opaque.
  4. Evenly sprinkle breadcrumb mixture and Parmesan cheese on top of the cooked shrimp.
  5. Preheat the oven’s broiler. Place the skillet under the broiler for 3-5 minutes until the topping is golden brown.
  6. Garnish with parsley and serve hot.

Notes

Serve with a side of arugula salad or garlic bread to soak up the sauce.
