Description

Ingredients

  • 2 lb Beef Chuck Roast
  • 1 cup Barbecue Sauce
  • 1 large Onion, sliced
  • 4 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 1 cup Beef Broth
  • 1 tsp Paprika
  • 1 tsp Cumin
  • Salt and Pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Trim excess fat off the beef chuck roast and season with salt, pepper, and spices.
  2. Optional: Sear beef in a hot skillet until golden brown on all sides.
  3. Layer sliced onions and minced garlic at the bottom of the slow cooker.
  4. Add the seared beef on top of the onions and garlic.
  5. Pour barbecue sauce and beef broth over the beef.
  6. Cover and cook on low for 8 hours or high for 4 hours.
  7. Once cooked, shred the beef using two forks and mix with the sauce before serving.

Let the beef sit in the BBQ sauce for a few moments before serving for enhanced flavor.
