- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce (optional)
Instructions
- Brown the ground meat in a skillet over medium heat, enhancing the flavor.
- Add diced onions, carrots, and any other desired vegetables, sautéing until softened.
- Season the meat mixture with salt, pepper, herbs, and Worcestershire sauce.
- Transfer the filling into the slow cooker and pour in enough broth to keep it moist.
- Sprinkle a layer of cheese over the filling.
- Spread the mashed potatoes evenly on top and create grooves with a fork.
- Cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 3-4 hours.
- If desired, add more cheese on top during the last 30 minutes of cooking.
- Let sit for a few minutes before serving, garnished with fresh parsley.
