Ingredients

- 2 lbs chuck roast, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 8 oz cremini or button mushrooms, sliced
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 large sweet yellow onion, chopped
- 2 cups beef broth
- 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tsp dried thyme or 2 sprigs fresh thyme
- 1 tsp dried rosemary or 2 sprigs fresh rosemary
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Prepare the Steak: Cut the beef into bite-sized pieces and season generously with salt and pepper.
- Sauté Aromatics: If possible, sear steak pieces in a skillet over high heat until browned.
- Combine Ingredients: Place steak, mushrooms, onions, garlic, and herbs in the slow cooker. Add broth and Worcestershire sauce.
- Slow Cook: Cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 3-4 hours.
- Serve and Enjoy: Stir, taste for seasoning, and serve hot garnished with parsley, paired with mashed potatoes or bread.
Notes
Be sure to check the doneness first time cooking. Avoid lifting the lid during cooking to retain heat.
