  • Salt, to taste
  • Pepper, to taste
  • Optional herbs (parsley, thyme)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Cook the egg noodles according to package instructions, then drain and set aside.
  2. Sauté the beef: In a large skillet over medium heat, melt a tablespoon of butter. Add chopped onions and minced garlic, cooking until fragrant and translucent. Then, add the ground beef to the skillet, breaking it up as it browns (5-7 minutes).
  3. Incorporate the chopped mushrooms, cooking until they soften (about 4-5 minutes).
  4. Mix in the sour cream, salt, pepper, and any additional herbs or seasoning. Allow to simmer gently before removing from heat.
  5. Combine the cooked noodles with the beef mixture until well combined.
  6. Transfer the mixture into a greased 9×13 baking dish, leveling it out with a spatula. Sprinkle shredded cheese across the top.
  7. Bake for about 25-30 minutes or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
  8. Rest for 10 minutes before serving, garnish with chopped parsley.
