- 1 lb Ground Lamb
- Pastry Dough (homemade or store-bought)
- 1 tsp Ground Cumin
- 1 tsp Ground Coriander
- 1/2 tsp Ground Cinnamon
- 1/2 cup finely chopped Onion
- 2 cloves minced Garlic
- Fresh Mint (chopped)
- Fresh Cilantro (chopped)
- Salt to taste
- 1 Ripe Mango (peeled and chopped)
- 1/2 cup Sugar
- 1/4 cup Vinegar
- 1 tsp Ginger (grated)
- 1/2 tsp Chili Powder
Instructions
- Prepare the Dough by mixing flour and water until a soft dough forms; let it rest under a damp cloth.
- Make the Filling: In a skillet, heat oil, sauté onions until golden, add garlic, then ground lamb; cook until browned.
- Add spices to the filling and mix well.
- Fold in chopped mint and cilantro into the filling.
- Assemble the Samosas: Roll dough, cut into circles, fill, and fold into triangles, sealing edges with water.
- Fry or Bake the Samosas until golden brown.
- For Mango Chutney, combine mango, sugar, vinegar, ginger, and spices in a pot; cook until thickened.
Notes
Serve with yogurt or raita for a cooling effect. Perfect for parties and gatherings.
