- 1 lb flank steak or sirloin, cut into strips
- 1 cup breadcrumbs (plain or seasoned)
- 2 large eggs, whisked
- Salt, to taste
- Pepper, to taste
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- Oil for frying (canola or vegetable)
Instructions
- Prepare the Steak: Start by slicing your choice of steak into strips.
- Season the Meat: Sprinkle the steak strips with salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Allow to marinate for 15-20 minutes.
- Set Up Breading Station: In one bowl, whisk the eggs. In another, place the breadcrumbs.
- Coat the Steak Fingers: Dip each strip of steak into the egg, then roll it in the breadcrumbs.
- Fry to Perfection: Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high heat and fry the Steak Fingers for 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown.
- Drain and Serve: Remove from the skillet and let them drain on paper towels. Serve warm.
Notes
For a gluten-free option, use almond flour or panko. Ensure oil is hot before frying and do not overcrowd the pan.
