Description

Tender steak strips coated in a subtly spicy batter, creating a delicious comfort food that brings families together.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb sirloin or flank steak, sliced into strips
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Vegetable oil for frying
  • Fresh herbs (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the steak by slicing it into strips about 1 inch thick.
  2. Whisk together the flour and seasonings in a mixing bowl.
  3. Place the flour mixture on a plate and beat two eggs in another bowl.
  4. Dip each steak strip into the egg and then coat it in the seasoned flour.
  5. Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high heat until shimmering.
  6. Add the steak fingers in batches, cooking for 2-3 minutes per side until golden brown.
  7. Remove cooked steak fingers using a slotted spoon and place them on a paper towel-lined plate.
  8. Serve with your favorite dipping sauce and garnish with fresh herbs.

Notes

Avoid overcrowding the pan while frying to ensure crispy steak fingers. Let the steak rest after cooking to retain juices.
