Description

Delicious turnovers filled with sweet strawberries and creamy cheese, perfect for any gathering.


Ingredients

  • 1 package puff pastry, thawed
  • 2 cups fresh strawberries, chopped
  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 egg (for egg wash, optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a medium bowl, combine strawberries, powdered sugar, and vanilla; mix well.
  3. In another bowl, beat cream cheese with powdered sugar and vanilla until smooth.
  4. On a floured surface, roll out puff pastry and cut into 4×4 inch squares.
  5. Place a spoonful of cream cheese and strawberries on one half of each square.
  6. Fold pastry over to form a triangle and crimp edges to seal.
  7. Brush tops with egg wash if desired.
  8. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
  9. Allow to cool slightly on a wire rack before serving.

Notes

These turnovers can be made ahead of time and frozen before baking. Dust with powdered sugar before serving.
