- 1 package puff pastry, thawed
- 2 cups fresh strawberries, sliced
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 2 tablespoons cornstarch
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
- Powdered sugar (for dusting)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a bowl, combine sliced strawberries, sugar, cornstarch, and lemon juice. Stir gently to coat.
- Roll out the puff pastry on a floured surface and cut into squares or circles.
- Place a spoonful of the strawberry mixture in the center of each pastry piece.
- Fold the pastry over and crimp the edges with a fork. Brush with egg wash.
- Transfer to the baking sheet, leaving space between each.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown and flaky. Allow to cool before dusting with powdered sugar.
Notes
Use frozen strawberries in place of fresh if needed, and consider using brown sugar for added flavor.
