Stuffed Chicken Breast

Description

A tender chicken breast stuffed with a creamy filling of cream cheese, garlic, and mushrooms, perfect for family gatherings.


Ingredients

  • 4 Boneless Chicken Breasts
  • 8 oz Cream Cheese
  • 2 cloves Fresh Garlic, minced
  • 1 cup Mushrooms, chopped
  • 2 tbsp Fresh Parsley, chopped
  • Salt and Pepper to taste
  • 1 tsp Olive Oil (for sautéing)
  • 1 tbsp Olive Oil (for searing)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a skillet, heat 1 tbsp of olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and chopped mushrooms, sauté for 5-7 minutes until golden brown.
  3. Stir in the cream cheese and herbs, mix well, and season with salt and pepper.
  4. Create a pocket in each chicken breast by slicing lengthwise without cutting all the way through.
  5. Stuff each pocket with the mushroom mixture and secure with toothpicks if necessary.
  6. In the same skillet, heat another tbsp of olive oil and sear the stuffed chicken for 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  7. Transfer the chicken to a baking dish and bake in the oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
  8. Let the chicken rest for a few minutes before slicing and serve with your favorite sides.
