Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup seeds (pumpkin or sunflower)
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar or maple syrup
  • 2 tablespoons smoked paprika
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter or coconut oil
  • A pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 325°F (163°C).
  2. Combine your choice of nuts, pretzels, and seeds in a large mixing bowl.
  3. Melt the butter or coconut oil in a small saucepan over low heat.
  4. Stir in the brown sugar, smoked paprika, cayenne pepper, and salt until combined.
  5. Pour the melted mixture over the nut and pretzel blend and toss until evenly coated.
  6. Spread the mixture onto a parchment-lined baking sheet in an even layer.
  7. Bake for 20-25 minutes, stirring every 10 minutes for even toasting.
  8. Allow to cool completely before serving, then store in an airtight container for up to two weeks.
