Description
A comforting and festive dish combining savory turkey and tangy cranberry in flaky crescent dough.
Ingredients
- Crescent dough
- Cooked turkey
- Cranberry sauce
- Cheese (cream cheese or cheddar)
- Fresh herbs (thyme or sage)
- Egg wash (egg yolk mixed with water)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Prepare a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Roll out the crescent dough into a large circle on a floured surface.
- Mix together the cooked turkey, cranberry sauce, and any herbs or cheese you’re using in a bowl.
- Spoon the turkey mixture into the center of the dough, spreading it evenly.
- Cut small triangles leading towards the center from the edge of the dough, leaving the filling intact.
- Fold each triangle over to form a ring, pinching the seams to seal.
- Brush with egg wash for that golden crust.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown and puffed.
- Allow it to cool slightly before serving.
Notes
For a crunchier texture, sprinkle the top with sesame seeds before baking. Serve warm for the best flavor.
