Description

A comforting and festive dish combining savory turkey and tangy cranberry in flaky crescent dough.

Ingredients

  • Crescent dough
  • Cooked turkey
  • Cranberry sauce
  • Cheese (cream cheese or cheddar)
  • Fresh herbs (thyme or sage)
  • Egg wash (egg yolk mixed with water)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Prepare a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  3. Roll out the crescent dough into a large circle on a floured surface.
  4. Mix together the cooked turkey, cranberry sauce, and any herbs or cheese you’re using in a bowl.
  5. Spoon the turkey mixture into the center of the dough, spreading it evenly.
  6. Cut small triangles leading towards the center from the edge of the dough, leaving the filling intact.
  7. Fold each triangle over to form a ring, pinching the seams to seal.
  8. Brush with egg wash for that golden crust.
  9. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown and puffed.
  10. Allow it to cool slightly before serving.

Notes

For a crunchier texture, sprinkle the top with sesame seeds before baking. Serve warm for the best flavor.
