Ingredients
- Puff pastry
- Mushrooms (cremini or button)
- Fresh herbs (thyme, rosemary, parsley)
- Cheese (mozzarella or goat cheese)
- Onions (caramelized)
- Olive oil
- Butter
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Roll out the puff pastry on a lightly floured surface until 1/8 inch thick.
- Add olive oil and butter to a skillet, melting and coating the pan.
- Toss in diced onions and sauté until caramelized, about 10 minutes.
- Stir in mushrooms and cook until tender.
- Add fresh herbs and cheese, seasoning with salt and pepper.
- Place pastry in a muffin tin and fill with mushroom mixture.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes until puffed and golden.
- Cool for a few minutes, then flip onto a serving platter.
- Drizzle with balsamic glaze or sprinkle with herbs before serving.
