Description
Delicious and chewy Walnut Blondies, a family favorite that blends rich butteriness with the nutty crunch of walnuts.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup chopped walnuts
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line an 8×8-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
- Melt the butter in a saucepan over low heat.
- Remove from heat and stir in the brown sugar and granulated sugar until smooth.
- Let it cool slightly, then mix in the eggs one at a time, followed by the vanilla extract.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually fold into the wet ingredients.
- Gently fold in chopped walnuts.
- Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and smooth the top.
- Bake for 22-25 minutes, until the edges are golden brown and a toothpick inserted comes out with a few moist crumbs.
- Cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then lift out and cool completely before slicing.
- Serve with a dusting of powdered sugar or a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
Notes
Be careful not to overmix the batter to keep the blondies chewy. Allow them to cool completely for the best texture.
