Description

Delicious and chewy Walnut Blondies, a family favorite that blends rich butteriness with the nutty crunch of walnuts.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup chopped walnuts

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line an 8×8-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. Melt the butter in a saucepan over low heat.
  3. Remove from heat and stir in the brown sugar and granulated sugar until smooth.
  4. Let it cool slightly, then mix in the eggs one at a time, followed by the vanilla extract.
  5. In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually fold into the wet ingredients.
  6. Gently fold in chopped walnuts.
  7. Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and smooth the top.
  8. Bake for 22-25 minutes, until the edges are golden brown and a toothpick inserted comes out with a few moist crumbs.
  9. Cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then lift out and cool completely before slicing.
  10. Serve with a dusting of powdered sugar or a scoop of vanilla ice cream.

Notes

Be careful not to overmix the batter to keep the blondies chewy. Allow them to cool completely for the best texture.
