- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 cup chopped walnuts
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp salt
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line your baking sheets with parchment paper.
- Cream the butter and sugars together until light and fluffy (about 3-5 minutes).
- Add eggs one at a time, then mix in the vanilla extract.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually mix into the wet ingredients.
- Gently fold in the chopped walnuts.
- Drop rounded mounds of dough onto the prepared baking sheets.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes until edges are golden.
- Let cool on baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring to wire racks.
Notes
For a dairy-free version, substitute coconut oil for butter. You can also use pecans in place of walnuts.
