Description

A delightful marriage of creamy goat cheese, rich maple syrup, and crunchy walnuts, perfect as an appetizer or main dish.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 oz creamy goat cheese
  • 1/2 cup pure maple syrup
  • 1 cup freshly chopped walnuts
  • 2 tbsp fresh herbs (thyme or rosemary)
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes

Instructions

  1. Chop the walnuts roughly and heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add the walnuts and toast them for about 3-5 minutes until fragrant and golden.
  3. Reduce heat and add goat cheese, then pour in maple syrup and gently fold together.
  4. Stir in fresh herbs and red pepper flakes, adjusting seasoning if needed.
  5. Allow to cool slightly before serving with crackers or baguette slices.

Notes

For a milder flavor, substitute goat cheese with cream cheese. Pecans or sliced almonds can be used instead of walnuts.
