Description

Deliciously spiced Apple Cider Cookies that celebrate the essence of autumn with each bite.


Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 2 teaspoons cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. Cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add the egg and mix well until fully incorporated.
  4. Whisk together the flour, baking soda, baking powder, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt in another bowl.
  5. Gradually add the flour mixture to the butter mixture, mixing until just combined.
  6. Pour in the apple cider and fold gently into the dough.
  7. Scoop rounded balls of dough onto prepared baking sheets, spacing them about two inches apart.
  8. Bake for about 10–12 minutes or until edges are lightly golden.
  9. Remove from the oven and let sit on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
  10. Enjoy with a cup of tea, coffee, or warm vanilla ice cream!

Notes

Use room-temperature ingredients for better mixing. Allowing the dough to chill for 30 minutes can enhance chewiness.
