A delightful Beef & Scallion Stir Fry that’s rich in flavor and steeped in tradition, perfect for family dinners and gatherings.
Ingredients

- 1 lb beef (flank or sirloin), sliced against the grain
- 1 cup scallions, sliced (white and green parts separated)
- 1/4 cup soy sauce (low sodium preferred)
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, minced
- 2 tablespoons cooking oil (canola or peanut)
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch (optional)
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil (for finishing)
Instructions
- Prep your ingredients by slicing the beef and scallions, and mincing the garlic and ginger.
- Marinate the beef with soy sauce, garlic, ginger, and cornstarch for 15 minutes.
- Heat a skillet or wok over high heat and add cooking oil.
- Sear the marinated beef in a single layer for about 1 minute, then stir-fry until browned and cooked through. Remove and set aside.
- Add the white parts of the scallions to the skillet and stir-fry for 30 seconds, then toss in the green tops.
- Combine the beef with the scallions, stirring everything together and letting the flavors meld for another minute. Add more soy sauce or sesame oil to taste.
- Serve immediately over steamed rice or noodles.
Notes
For added crunch, feel free to add bell peppers or mushrooms. Adjust the seasoning according to your taste preferences.
