Description

A delightful dessert featuring fresh berries with a crispy caramelized sugar topping, perfect for summer gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups Fresh Berries (strawberries, raspberries, blueberries)
  • 1/2 cup Granulated Sugar
  • 1 tsp Vanilla Extract
  • 1 tbsp Lemon Juice
  • Pinch of Salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven broiler to high and prepare a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  2. Wash your chosen berries and slice larger ones like strawberries. Toss them in a bowl with lemon juice, vanilla extract, and salt.
  3. Spread the berries across the lined baking sheet, ensuring they are in a single layer.
  4. Sprinkle granulated sugar evenly over the berries.
  5. Broil under the broiler for 2-5 minutes, watching closely until the sugar caramelizes.
  6. Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes.
  7. Spoon the bruleed berries into dishes and garnish with mint leaves if desired.

Notes

Use fresh berries for the best flavor. Avoid too much sugar to maintain the balance of sweetness.
