Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Prepare a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Cream together 1 cup of softened butter, 1 cup of granulated sugar, and ½ cup of packed brown sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add 2 large eggs, one at a time, along with 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract, mixing well.
- Combine in a separate bowl 2 cups of all-purpose flour, ½ teaspoon of baking soda, ½ teaspoon of baking powder, and a pinch of salt.
- Blend the dry mixture into the wet ingredients until just combined.
- Fold in 1 cup of fresh cranberries and the zest of 1 large orange.
- Drop spoonfuls onto the baking sheet, spaced about 2 inches apart.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes until edges are golden.
- Cool on the sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
