Description
A comforting dish featuring buttery pasta twirls coated in freshly cracked black pepper and Parmesan cheese.
Ingredients
Scale
- 8 oz twirl pasta (fusilli or rotini)
- 4 tbsp butter
- 1/2 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tsp freshly cracked black pepper
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- Salt to taste
Instructions
- Cook the pasta: Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the pasta and cook until al dente, about 8-10 minutes. Reserve ½ cup of pasta water before draining.
- Sauté the garlic: In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic, sautéing until fragrant, about 1-2 minutes.
- Combine pasta and sauce: Add the drained pasta to the skillet and toss with the garlic and butter mixture. If it seems dry, splash in some reserved pasta water.
- Add cheese and pepper: Remove from heat, stir in Parmesan cheese, and add freshly cracked black pepper. Toss until the cheese is melted and the pasta is coated.
- Serve and enjoy: Plate the pasta, garnishing with extra cheese and fresh herbs if desired.
Notes
For a lighter version, substitute butter with olive oil and use zucchini noodles for a healthier twist.
