- 4 boneless, skinless Chicken Breasts
- 2 cups Fresh Broccoli florets
- 4 strips Bacon (regular or turkey)
- 1 cup Sharp Cheddar Cheese, shredded
- 1/2 cup Heavy Cream (or cream cheese)
- 2 cloves Garlic, minced
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Optional: crushed red pepper for heat
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Cook the bacon in a large skillet over medium heat until crispy, then remove and set aside.
- Sauté the chicken in the same skillet, seasoned with salt and pepper, for about 6-7 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through.
- Add minced garlic and chopped broccoli to the skillet, cooking for about 3-4 minutes until bright green.
- Pour in the cream (or cream cheese), stirring and simmering for 2-3 minutes until slightly thickened.
- Return the chicken and crumble the crispy bacon into the pan, then add the cheddar cheese, allowing it to melt.
- Transfer the skillet to the oven and bake for about 15 minutes until bubbly and golden.
- Serve hot, garnished with fresh herbs.
Notes
Let the dish rest for a few minutes after baking to allow the sauce to thicken and cool slightly.
