Description

Delicate, crumbly cookies made with butter and chopped pecans, coated in powdered sugar for a snowy finish.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • ½ cup powdered sugar, plus extra for dusting
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup chopped pecans
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 pinch salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Cream the butter and powdered sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add the vanilla extract and chopped pecans, mixing until fully combined.
  4. Incorporate the flour and a pinch of salt, stirring until just combined.
  5. Form small balls of dough, about 1 inch in diameter, and place on the baking sheet.
  6. Bake for 12-15 minutes until light golden on the bottom.
  7. Cool for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack and dust generously with powdered sugar.
  8. Dust again with powdered sugar for an extra snowy finish once fully cooled.

Notes

Best enjoyed with tea or coffee. Can be made ahead and stored at room temperature.
