  • ½ cup crushed candy canes

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy, about 3-4 minutes.
  3. Add in the egg and both extracts, mixing until well combined.
  4. Combine the dry ingredients (flour, baking powder, salt) in a separate bowl, then gradually mix into the wet ingredients until just combined.
  5. Fold in the crushed candy canes, reserving some for topping.
  6. Scoop out the dough onto a lined baking sheet and sprinkle with reserved candy canes.
  7. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until edges are lightly golden.
  8. Cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
