Ingredients

Instructions

  1. Prepare the butter by bringing it to room temperature.
  2. Cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar until fluffy.

  5. Divide the dough into two equal portions.

  7. Roll each portion between parchment paper into rectangles.
  8. Layer the uncolored dough on top of the colored layer and roll tightly into a log.
  9. Chill the dough log in plastic wrap for at least an hour.
  10. Slice the chilled dough into ¼-inch rounds and bake at 350°F (175°C) for 10-12 minutes.
  11. Cool completely and decorate with powdered sugar or melted chocolate.
