Description

Delightful and festive butter cookies shaped into wreaths, perfect for holiday gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup Unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup Granulated sugar
  • 3 cups All-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp Vanilla extract
  • 1/4 tsp Salt
  • Colorful sprinkles or finely chopped nuts (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. Cream the softened butter and sugar in a mixing bowl until light and fluffy.
  3. Mix in the vanilla extract until well combined.
  4. Gradually add the flour and salt to the mixture, blending until just incorporated.
  5. Scoop the dough using a tablespoon and roll it into a ball. Shape it into a wreath by pinching the ends together.
  6. Place the wreaths on the prepared baking sheets, leaving space between each cookie. Add sprinkles or nuts if desired.
  7. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden.
  8. Allow to cool on the baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

For a dairy-free option, use coconut oil or a plant-based butter. Experiment with flavors by adding almond or lemon zest.
