These Crab Crunchies are delightful bites that combine the sweetness of fresh crab meat with a crunchy, buttery exterior, making them a perfect appetizer or snack for any gathering.

- 1 pound fresh lump crab meat
- 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
- 4 ounces cream cheese
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
- 2 tablespoons fresh chives, chopped
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 large egg
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tablespoons melted butter or olive oil (for brushing)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the crab meat, panko breadcrumbs, cream cheese, minced garlic, herbs, lemon juice, and the egg. Season with salt and pepper.
- Gently mix until well incorporated, being careful not to break the crab meat too much. Form small balls (about 1 inch in diameter) and place them on the baking sheet.
- Brush the tops with melted butter or olive oil, and sprinkle additional breadcrumbs on top if desired.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown and crispy.
- Serve warm with your choice of dipping sauces.
Notes
Feel free to experiment with different herbs and spices. For an extra layer of flavor, try using Old Bay seasoning.
