Description
Delightful hand pies filled with tart cranberries and wrapped in flaky, buttery pastry.
Ingredients

- 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup cold butter, cut into cubes
- 6–8 tablespoons ice water
- 2 cups fresh or frozen cranberries
- 3/4 cup sugar (adjust to taste)
- 2 tablespoons cornstarch or flour
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1 egg (for egg wash)
- 1 tablespoon milk or water (for egg wash)
Instructions
- Combine flour and salt. Cut in cold butter until crumbly.
- Add ice water gradually until dough forms. Chill for 30 minutes.
- Cook cranberries, sugar, cornstarch, cinnamon, and water in a saucepan until thickened.
- Roll out chilled dough and cut circles. Fill with cranberry mixture.
- Fold and seal edges. Brush with egg wash and bake at 375°F for 20-25 minutes.
- Cool slightly and enjoy!
Notes
You can substitute cranberries with cherry or raspberry filling. Serve with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream.
