Ingredients

  • 1 cup fresh cranberries
  • 2 jalapeños, seeds removed for less heat
  • 8 oz cream cheese
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1/4 cup fresh cilantro, chopped
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 baguette, sliced into ½ inch pieces
  • 1 tbsp honey or maple syrup

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Slice the baguette and arrange on a baking sheet. Brush with olive oil and bake for 8-10 minutes until golden.
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, add olive oil, cranberries, and jalapeños, cooking until cranberries burst, about 5 minutes. Stir in honey/maple syrup and cool slightly.
  3. Transfer to a food processor, add herbs, and pulse until chunky. Taste and add salt if needed.
  4. Spread cream cheese on each crostini slice. Top with the cranberry-jalapeño tapenade.
  5. Drizzle with olive oil or sprinkle fresh herbs. Serve immediately.

Notes

For a tangy variation, substitute cream cheese for goat cheese or ricotta. Adjust spice level by modifying jalapeño amount.
