- 2 tbsp Taco seasoning
- 1 cup Cream (or a dairy alternative)
- 1 cup Shredded cheddar cheese
- Fresh cilantro, for garnish
- 1 tbsp Olive oil
- 1 Onion, chopped
- 2 cloves Garlic, minced
Instructions
- Start with a base: In a large skillet or pot, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add chopped onions and garlic, cooking until softened.
- Brown your meat: Add ground meat to the pot and cook until no longer pink.
- Add beans and tomatoes: Stir in drained beans and canned tomatoes, allow to simmer.
- Spice it up: Sprinkle in taco seasoning, mixing well.
- Introduce the creaminess: Lower heat and stir in cream, simmer just until heated through.
- Adjust consistency: If too thick, add broth or water.
- Finish with toppings: Serve hot, garnished with cheese, cilantro, avocado, or sour cream.
