Description
Deliciously crispy tacos filled with tender, savory chicken and fresh herbs, perfect for family gatherings or casual dinners.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb boneless chicken (breast or thighs)
- 1 package wonton wrappers
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 scallions, sliced
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- Fresh cilantro or parsley
- Crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
- Oil for frying
- Lime for serving
Instructions
- In a skillet, heat a tablespoon of oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant. Toss in the chicken, breaking it apart with a spatula. Cook until no longer pink, about 5-7 minutes. Add soy sauce and sliced scallions, cooking for another 2-3 minutes.
- Place a wonton wrapper on a clean surface. Add about a tablespoon of the chicken mixture to the center. Fold the wrapper in half, sealing the edges by pressing down with your fingers or a fork.
- In a deep skillet or pot, heat oil over medium-high heat. Fry the assembled tacos for about 2-3 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and crispy. Drain them on paper towels once cooked.
- Arrange your tacos on a platter. Serve with your choice of dipping sauces, like sweet chili sauce or a zesty lime crema. Squeeze fresh lime juice on top before serving.
- Enjoy warm, watching family and friends dive into the delightful crispy bites!
Notes
For a healthier option, these tacos can also be baked at 375°F (190°C) for 15-20 minutes until crispy.
