- 1 cup (200 g) Granulated Sugar
- 3 large Eggs
- 1 tsp Vanilla Extract
- 1/2 cup (120 ml) Buttermilk
- 1 cup (125 g) All-Purpose Flour
- 1/2 cup (50 g) Cocoa Powder
- 1 tsp Baking Soda
- 1/2 tsp Salt
- 1 tbsp Red Food Coloring
- 1 1/2 cups (150 g) Graham Cracker Crumbs
- 1/2 cup (115 g) Unsalted Butter, melted
- Whipped Cream or Cream Cheese Frosting, for topping (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 325°F (160°C).
- Prepare the crust by mixing graham cracker crumbs and melted butter; press into the bottom of a springform pan.
- Mix the cream cheese and sugar until smooth, then add the eggs one at a time, mixing well.
- Whisk in buttermilk, vanilla extract, and red food coloring, scraping down the sides.
- Fold in the sifted flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt until just combined.
- Pour the batter over the crust and bake for 55-65 minutes until the edges are set.
- Cool in the oven for an hour, then chill in the refrigerator for at least four hours.
- Serve with whipped cream or frosting on top, garnished with sprinkles or cocoa powder.

Using room temperature ingredients ensures a smooth batter. Avoid overmixing and ensure proper chilling for the best texture.
