Ingredients

  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 1/4 cup fresh cilantro, chopped
  • 1/4 cup sweet chili sauce
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 1 tsp red pepper flakes
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Mix the ground beef, breadcrumbs, garlic, onion, and herbs in a large bowl. Add the egg to bind everything together and season with salt and pepper.
  3. Grab a scoop of the mixture and roll it into balls the size of golf balls.
  4. Arrange the meatballs on a greased baking sheet or lined with parchment paper and bake for about 20 minutes, or until browned and cooked through.
  5. Whisk together the firecracker sauce ingredients in a bowl while the meatballs bake. Adjust sweetness or spiciness as preferred.
  6. Toss the cooked meatballs in the sauce until well coated and serve with extra sauce on the side if desired.
