- 1 lb boneless chicken (breast or thighs)
- 8 oz linguine
- 4 tbsp butter
- 4–5 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
- Fresh parsley or basil for garnish
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Prepare the ingredients: dice the chicken into bite-sized pieces and mince the garlic.
- Cook the linguine in boiling salted water according to package instructions. Drain and reserve a cup of pasta water.
- Sauté the chicken in a large skillet with butter over medium heat until golden, about 5-7 minutes.
- Add the minced garlic and cook for another 1-2 minutes.
- Create the Alfredo sauce by pouring in heavy cream and stirring while it simmers, then mix in Parmesan until melted.
- Combine the cooked linguine with the sauce, adjusting thickness with reserved pasta water if needed.
- Garnish with fresh herbs and extra Parmesan, then serve hot.
Notes
Ensure not to overcook garlic to avoid bitterness. Taste as you go to adjust seasoning.
