Description
A comforting bowl of Garlic Butter Ramen that combines rich garlic flavors with buttery noodles and sautéed mushrooms.
Ingredients
Scale
- Ramen noodles (fresh or dried)
- 4 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter
- 4 cups chicken or vegetable broth
- 1 cup mushrooms (shiitake, cremini, or button)
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- Fresh herbs (chives, scallions, or cilantro) for garnish
Instructions
- Cook the noodles: Bring a pot of salted water to a boil. Add ramen noodles and cook according to package instructions (3-4 minutes for fresh noodles). Save a cup of the cooking water.
- Sauté the garlic: In a skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add sliced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
- Add the mushrooms: Toss in your choice of mushrooms and sauté until tender and golden brown (5-7 minutes).
- Combine: Drain the cooked noodles and add them to the skillet with the garlic and mushrooms. Toss with soy sauce and a splash of reserved noodle water.
- Finish with herbs: Remove from heat, sprinkle fresh herbs over the top, stir to combine, and taste for seasoning.
- Serve: Enjoy hot, garnished with more herbs and a drizzle of sesame oil if desired.
Notes
For a vegetarian option, add more vegetables or tofu. Adjust seasonings to taste.
