Ingredients
- Sausage Links (pork, turkey, or spicy Italian)
- Puff Pastry (store-bought, thawed)
- Honey (1/4 cup)
- Brown Sugar (2 tablespoons)
- Dijon Mustard (1 tablespoon)
- Soy Sauce (1 tablespoon)
- Egg (1, mixed with a splash of water for wash)
- Fresh Herbs (optional, thyme or rosemary)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Prepare the sausage by cutting larger links into pieces about 2-3 inches long.
- Roll out the puff pastry to 1/8-inch thickness and cut into 3×5 inch rectangles.
- Fill each rectangle with a sausage piece and roll it up, sealing the edges.
- Brush the tops with egg wash and place on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
- Mix honey, brown sugar, Dijon mustard, and soy sauce for the glaze.
- Bake for 15 minutes, then remove from the oven and brush glaze on each pastry. Return to the oven for an additional 10-15 minutes until golden brown.
- Serve warm and enjoy!
Notes
For added flavor, consider briefly cooking the sausage in a skillet before wrapping. These are best enjoyed warm with fresh herbs on top.
