Description

A flavorful and comforting dish of tender beef slices and chewy noodles coated in a rich hoisin sauce, perfect for family dinners.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb flank steak or sirloin, thinly sliced
  • 1/4 cup hoisin sauce
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp fresh ginger, minced
  • 8 oz udon or rice noodles
  • 1 cup bell peppers, sliced
  • 1 cup snow peas
  • 1 cup broccoli florets
  • 2 tbsp oil for cooking
  • Sesame seeds and chopped green onions for garnish

Instructions

  1. Prepare the ingredients – Thinly slice beef against the grain, chop vegetables, and cook noodles according to package instructions.
  2. Marinate the beef – Toss beef with hoisin sauce, soy sauce, garlic, and ginger. Let it marinate for about 20 minutes.
  3. Cook the noodles – Boil water and cook noodles until al dente. Drain, saving 1 cup of pasta water.
  4. Stir-fry the beef – Heat oil in a skillet or wok, add marinated beef, and cook until browned (2-3 minutes). Remove beef.
  5. Sauté the vegetables – Add more oil if needed and stir-fry the vegetables for 2-4 minutes.
  6. Combine everything – Return beef to the skillet, add noodles and a splash of hoisin sauce, tossing until combined and heated through.
  7. Serve – Dish up Hoisin Beef Noodles, garnishing with sesame seeds and green onions.

Notes

Work quickly when stir-frying to ensure a perfect texture. Avoid overcrowding the pan for best results.
