Instructions

  1. Prepare the filling: In a large bowl, combine softened cream cheese, sifted powdered sugar, and pure peppermint extract. Beat together until creamy.
  2. Shape the patties: Dust your hands with powdered sugar and form the peppermint mixture into flat discs, about 1/2 inch thick.
  3. Chill the filling: Place the shaped disks in the freezer for 20-30 minutes.
  4. Melt the chocolate: Melt dark chocolate and butter over a double boiler or in the microwave until smooth.
