- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp salt
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper for easy cleanup.
- Cream the butter and sugars together until light and fluffy.
- Add in the eggs and vanilla extract and mix until smooth.
- Sift together the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt.
- Combine the wet and dry mixtures, stirring until just combined.
- Fold in the chocolate chips.
- Scoop the dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 1.5 inches apart.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes until slightly undercooked in the center.
- Cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
Notes
For a thicker cookie, chill the dough for 30 minutes before baking. Feel free to swap butter for coconut oil for a dairy-free option.
