Ingredients

  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise (optional)
  • 1/3 cup pure maple syrup
  • 1/4 cup bourbon
  • 2 cups sharp cheddar cheese, grated
  • 2 green onions or chives, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Cook the bacon in a skillet over medium heat until crispy, about 8-10 minutes. Reserve some drippings for flavor.
  2. In a mixing bowl, blend the cream cheese, sour cream, and optional mayonnaise until smooth.
  3. Gradually fold in the maple syrup and bourbon, mixing well.
  4. Stir in the grated cheddar cheese and crumbled bacon, reserving some bacon for topping.
  5. Transfer the mixture to a greased baking dish, sprinkle the reserved bacon on top, and bake at 375°F (190°C) for 20-25 minutes.
  6. Garnish with sliced green onions or chives before serving with tortilla chips, veggies, or baguette slices.

Notes
