- 1 lb medium to large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tbsp butter
- 3 cloves fresh garlic, minced
- Fresh herbs (parsley, cilantro, or thyme)
- 1 tbsp fresh lemon juice
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Rinse the shrimp under cold water and pat them dry with paper towels.
- Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and add olive oil, waiting until it shimmers.
- Season the shrimp with salt and pepper and add them to the pan, cooking undisturbed for about 2-3 minutes until golden.
- Flip the shrimp, add minced garlic, and sauté for another minute until fully opaque.
- Add butter and lemon juice, tossing everything together until glossy.
- Serve immediately, garnished with fresh herbs and an extra wedge of lemon.
Notes
Avoid overcrowding the pan to achieve a perfect sear. Keep a close eye on the cooking time to prevent overcooking.
