- 2 cups Powdered Sugar (for icing)
Instructions
- Mix the Dough: In a large bowl, combine flour, sugar, cocoa powder, and yeast. Mix well.
- Heat the Wet Ingredients: Warm buttermilk and butter in a saucepan. Stir in egg and vanilla extract.
- Combine and Knead: Pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients. Mix until a dough forms and knead for 5-7 minutes.
- Let It Rise: Place the dough in a greased bowl and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour.
- Prepare the Filling: Mix softened butter, brown sugar, cinnamon, and cocoa powder in a bowl.
- Roll Out the Dough: Roll the risen dough into a rectangle about 1/4 inch thick and spread the filling evenly.
- Roll and Cut: Roll the dough tightly and cut it into 12 equal pieces. Place them in a greased baking dish.
- Second Rise: Let the rolls rise again for 30-45 minutes.
- Bake: Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C) and bake for 20-25 minutes.
- Prepare the Icing: Beat cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.
- Ice and Serve: Spread icing on warm rolls and enjoy!
