Description
A comforting and flavorful dish made with tender chicken, fresh scallions, and garlic, reminiscent of family gatherings.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb boneless chicken (breast or thighs)
- 1 bunch fresh scallions, chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 2 tbsp olive oil or butter
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Optional herbs (fresh thyme or parsley)
Instructions
- Prep your ingredients: Slice the chicken into even strips and finely chop the scallions and garlic.
- Heat the skillet: Drizzle olive oil or melt a knob of butter in a large skillet over medium heat until shimmering.
- Sauté the chicken: Add the chicken strips, season with salt and pepper, and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side until golden brown and fully cooked.
- Add garlic and scallions: Once the chicken is browned, toss in minced garlic and scallions. Stir and sauté for another 2-3 minutes until fragrant.
- Finish with soy sauce: Drizzle the soy sauce over the chicken mixture, stir well and let cook for an additional minute.
- Serve: Transfer the Scallion Chicken Chops to a serving plate, garnish with fresh herbs if desired, and enjoy warm.
Notes
Avoid overcrowding the skillet to ensure the chicken sears properly. Adjust seasoning to taste.
